Rachel Wakefield
Spec Systems is led by Rachel, an industry expert in architectural products for over ten years. With a fine-tuned eye for materials and a big-picture mindset, she is equipped with solutions for technical questions and enjoys helping with design.
Rachel gained an appreciation for architecture, design, and acoustics while in graduate school. She appreciates old and new design, citing her favorite Interior space to be the Abby at St. Gall, and has a special fondness for contemporary Scandinavian architecture, such as the Oslo Opera House. Rachel enjoys the typical outdoor activities available in the Pacific Northwest; she is also a Pilates fanatic, and enjoys tango and swing dancing.

Tara Miller
Based in Alaska, Tara is adept at collaborating with local designers and builders to form lasting relationships. As a part of the ever-shifting Alaskan landscape for over a decade, she is proud to offer products that reflect the unique natural environment of this majestic state. Tara enjoys everything that Alaska has to offer—fishing, skiing, and hiking with her husband and two dogs.
Gidg Kesler
Joining the Spec Systems team in 2019, Gidg brings with her over twenty-five years of experience in Project Management from the high-tech industry. She has taken courses working towards her PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification and currently holds a degree in Information Technology.
Gidg takes pride in helping our customers meet their goals for each project she helps them with. Customer feedback includes comments such as: “Working with Gidg is like having an additional employee working on the project.” and “Gidg’s attention to detail and timely responses are top notch. She is a pleasure to work with.”
As a native Oregonian, she enjoys walking, ballroom dancing, is an avid gamer, and her bucket list includes a trip to Scotland.
Benjamin Miller
A Portland native, Ben Miller joined Spec Systems in 2021 as a Sales Assistant. Ben brings his career experience of hotel office management to Spec Systems for customer support and updates of the project tracking system. Ben lives in Portland with his wife and cat and is an avid friend to the neighborhood crows.
